It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of Prof. Ned Mohan on February 11, 2024. His tenure at the University of Minnesota was marked by exceptional contributions to research and education in power engineering. His influence extended far beyond research; through founding the Consortium of Universities for Sustainable Power (CUSP), with over 235 member universities, Prof. Mohan spearheaded a global educational movement towards sustainable energy solutions.
Prof. Mohan's legacy, enriched by his mentorship of numerous students and scholars, will endure in the countless lives he touched. Prof. Mohan is survived by his wife, Mary, son Michael, and daughter Tara. His loss is deeply felt by his family, colleagues, and the engineering community.
